A small baby was rescued alive from the rubble Tuesday in eastern Turkey, two days after a devastating earthquake toppled buildings in the region.
Later, rescuers pulled the girl's mother alive from the rubble as well.
They then pulled the girl's paternal grandmother. It was not immediately clear whether she was alive. She was carried to a vehicle on a stretcher.
The 2-week-old girl's father remains trapped somewhere under the rubble of the multi-story building, officials said.
The baby's maternal grandmother said the baby was born three weeks premature.
A rescuer told CNN the baby's mother managed to make contact with rescuers and get the baby to them through a narrow passage.
Officials had to find a rescuer thin enough to fit into the crevice to get the baby. The rescuer told CNN it was the first time he had ever pulled someone alive from earthquake rubble in 12 years of doing such work.
