Work is underway on a new high-rise project for the fastest growing core city in the UK, Nottingham.
Named The Picture Works, the development will be sited in the heart of the city's pedestrian friendly and highly fashionable Southside area that is currently undergoing regeneration.
The design looks a bit like someone is in the middle of a game of Tetris - irregularly shaped cut outs in the façade making for an interesting look. The balconies and windows are perhaps what gives the project its name looking like strikingly arranged picture frames, splashes of colour throughout adding to the picture image and overall modern look of the project.
Inside residents of the 128 apartments can look forward to top of the range fitted bathrooms and kitchens, digital reception, broadband access, SKY tv which saves the hassle of ringing around services when under the stress of moving home. All this is laid out in modern, sleek, open plan apartments ranging from 1 -3 bed roomed apartments and penthouses.
In addition to all the modcons most of the properties will have balconies to enjoy the sunshine on and parking facilities residents will also be able to make use of the onsite gymnasium.
Developer, Lace Market Properties aim for completion in the third quarter of 2009.
